A career as a senior full stack developer within the Wealth Management IT team at National Bank of Canada means acting as a specialist in back end and front-end application development within a complex and constantly evolving technology environment. This role allows you to make a concrete impact on the organization through your software development expertise, your experience with distributed systems, and your ability to deliver robust, high-performing solutions that support critical business activities.


Your role

• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performing back end and front-end application solutions that support valuation processes related to complex financial products.

• Maintain, optimize, and evolve existing applications while ensuring code quality, system performance, and compliance with development standards.

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues to improve the stability, reliability, and efficiency of production solutions.

• Participate in deployment activities, code reviews, and the ongoing maintenance of applications throughout their lifecycle.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, architecture, and quality assurance teams, to deliver solutions aligned with business needs in an Agile environment.

• Contribute to the technological evolution of solutions by proposing improvements, reducing technical debt, and supporting the migration to more modern technologies.


Your team

The Wealth Management IT Vice-Presidency brings together more than 1,500 specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of technology, and continuously improve processes.

Within the Wealth Management IT Delivery sector, you are part of a dedicated IT team and report to the Head of Asset Management. The Protax team stands out for the delivery of regulatory, scalable, and secure projects, carried out in collaboration with internal and external partners, while meeting high quality standards and tight timelines related to the production of tax slips.

Requirements

• A university certificate with three years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with three years of experience, or a master’s degree with three years of experience in a relevant field.

• Strong proficiency in Java development (version 11 and above), REST services, and microservices architectures.

• Solid experience in web development, including Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, XML, and JSON.

• Experience with MVC and Spring development frameworks, including Spring Boot and dependency injection principles.

• Demonstrated experience with DevOps and source code management tools, including continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

• Experience with AWS cloud services or equivalent technologies is considered an asset.
