Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced and motivated Area Manager to oversee multi‑unit retail operations across Manitoba. In this role, you will lead, coach, and support Store Managers and their teams to achieve operational excellence, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and meet revenue and profitability targets. You should be a strong communicator, strategic thinker, and hands‑on leader with deep retail management experience.

  • Location: Manitoba wide

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

  • * EXTENSIVE TRAVEL REQUIRED WITH OWN VEHICLE

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Champion and reinforce the company’s mission, vision, and values across all retail locations.

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to Store Managers and in‑store teams.

  • Offer clear direction and leadership to support high team performance.

  • Lead training initiatives aligned with organizational goals and team development.

Sales, Revenue & Operational Performance

  • Oversee weekly and monthly sales, revenue, and profit forecasts across all stores.

  • Ensure store staffing and scheduling align with sales trends and operational demands.

  • Analyze sales results and develop strategies to achieve monthly targets.

  • Identify gaps in store operations, merchandising, and execution, recommending actionable solutions.

  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce loss, and increase profitability.

Compliance, Safety & Communication

  • Ensure all stores follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Respond promptly to store‑level issues or emergencies and coordinate appropriate actions.

  • Maintain strong communication with store teams and corporate partners.

  • Represent the region during Store and Head Office meetings.

Project & Administrative Support

  • Support the rollout of company programs, training, merchandising plans, and operational updates.

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal departments to support store success.

  • Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of multi‑unit retail management experience (cannabis retail strongly preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or 5–7 years of equivalent relevant experience.

  • Smart Choices Cannabis Retail Certification (required).

  • Clear Criminal Background Check (required).

  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and online systems.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with confidence in leading meetings and presenting.

  • Strong business math abilities, including calculating percentages, interest, discounts, and commissions.

  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.

  • Skilled at delegation, setting expectations, and monitoring performance.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time‑management skills.

  • Ability to motivate teams, deliver constructive feedback, and support ongoing employee development.

  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

  • Extensive travel throughout Manitoba is required.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
