Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee documentation for equipment repairs, budget preparation, and maintenance project tracking.
- Coordinate with the production department to ensure equipment and machinery operate at full capacity.
- Process purchase orders, issue parts through the Avantis system, and track parts while reconciling equipment inventory for repair projects.
- Maintain records of service cycles and other maintenance activities, including verifying physical counts with Avantis QOH (Quantity on Hand).
- Plan and schedule maintenance and service procedures, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
- Develop cost-effective solutions to reduce expenses on parts and contracts.
- Collaborate with the buyer and vendors on parts purchases, including Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) items and rush orders.
- Physically receive parts, match quantities with purchase orders, and properly store parts in inventory locations using both manual and forklift methods.
- Prioritize work orders, estimate time and manpower for larger jobs, and ensure the availability of internal and external labor resources.
- Work with the maintenance team on emergency parts orders and provide expert guidance, maintaining open communication with frontline technicians and management.
- Attend and facilitate various meetings

- Experience in a food processing/packaging environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Able to independently prepare and facilitate weekly meetings.
- Mechanical aptitude is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate work with other internal departments.
- Ability to effectively utilize CMMS Avantis.
