Are you a skilled Maintenance Planner who loves building solid relationships and getting things done? We’re hiring a Maintenance Planner for our Base Plant mine in the oil sands. If this sounds like your kind of gig, we’d love to hear from you!Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, working in maintenance planning, scheduling, craft supervision, coordination or reliability roles
Journeyman Trade certification (Heavy Equipment Technician, Mechanical or Electrical) or Engineering Degree
Experience in planning or scheduling, especially in Mine Mobile Equipment is preferred
A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record
Key Accountabilities:
Manage planning backlog, maintain, and continuously improve job plans, task lists and maintenance plans to make them better over time
Facilitate planning meetings and help connect maintenance with other teams across the business
Moderate to complex decision making required, following company policies and procedures.
Dig into data from different sources to spot and flag cost issues
Review and validate work request for clarity, head out to field to verify details and scope job properly
Prepare job plans that logically sequence tasks, align multiple crafts, minimize equipment downtime, and maximize safe and effective resource utilization
Set up team for success by identifying and lining up parts, materials, special tools, external services, and rental equipment as needed
Validate executability of the job plans prior to releasing work to execution
Ensure compliance to Suncor standards of safety and operating integrity

You will work out of our Base Plant site in Fort McMurray, Alberta
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will not be provided; we offer competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals
