In 2022, Groupe Amiel created its EDI committee, taking year-round actions to build a genuinely inclusive workplace, implementing policies and practices promoting inclusiveness, and providing training and education. Taking consistent actions, such as creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees, leads to increased creativity, innovation, and productivity within the whole company. Vision for the Future
“At the Groupe Amiel, Pride at Work, like all our EDI initiatives, is deeply personal. I hail from an immigrant background, a linguistic & religious minority, and am a proud member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I am deeply recognizant of the privileged path of support I benefitted of over the course of my life. A path that generations before me, and many after me, did not or still do not benefit from. Yet despite this unencumbered path, it wasn’t until I surrounded myself with like-minded friends and peers – a diaspora of individuals who embraced diversity as a strength – that I was able to build upon my own self-confidence. That self-confidence is the fuel of my ambitions, what allows me to break down traditional barriers and to live my truth openly and unapologetically. Recognizing it is a defining key of my own success, our goal as an organization is to create an environment where we each thrive in our own unique way, where our diversity helps each other become better versions of ourselves that appreciate different ways of seeing the world around them.
