This role sits within Laurentian Bank.The incumbent is responsible for the daily administration, processing and reconciliation of banking products, in accordance with Laurentian Bank standards, policies and procedures. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining and updating reports, as well as responding to internal and external customer inquiries regarding products administered within the sector, while ensuring high quality customer service.
- Review, acknowledge and collate Estate documentation.
- Contact client’s Estate in writing regarding missing or incomplete documentation.
- Search all Laurentian Bank systems for client holdings.
- Process all required transactions on Laurentian Bank systems.
- Compute tax position where required.
- Keep up-to-date on the legislation in effect, as well as on policies and procedures.
- Understand and follow the established processes, policies and procedures for Estate accounts, ensuring efficient, • effective, seamless administration and quality client service is achieved.
- Compile and report on the status of productivity, volume, accuracy, and escalate issues regarding deadlines.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as may be assigned.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience in administration or data processing with a financial institution, required.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or related field.
- Ability to work thoroughly and meticulously.
- Bilingual* (French/English) verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Highly proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Familiarity with using large and complex financial database systems; ability to learn inquiry and maintenance functions in back office processing systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate information effectively.
- Ability to work in a high volume, multitasking environment with extremely demanding time frames.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Highly motivated with a desire to succeed and progress.
- Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team.
*Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
