Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the QA / Global Engineering Operations and Functions / Quality Assurance in Bogotá. Direct testing in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments for new and changed systems that affect all Domestic banking and Alternate Delivery Channels.
Enterprise Technology Quality Assurance is responsible for the Integrated Systems Testing (IST) Team. We assess the quality and risk of any changes/enhancements to the Finance applications that support Blue Book and Regulatory reporting, to ensure they are adequately tested before they are implemented for use by our E.O. Finance Teams across the globe.
Control changes in Bank application systems to maintain system integrity in the Production environment.
Ensures all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Reporting to the Manager Quality Assurance, the QA Specialist will lead/review testing for Global Fraud Technology applications/systems - by reviewing and evaluating requirements and design documentation, create, develop, and review test strategies and workday estimates, contribute to the preparation of comprehensive test documentation, and participate in daily testing activities. Closely monitor the progress of testing, and evaluate defects raised, balancing the need to mitigate risk with the optimal use of testing resources while adhering to Best Practices, Methodologies, Guiding Principles, Standards and Procedures.
- The QA Specialist must work under tight deadlines, conflicting priorities and changing requirements.
- The QA Specialist must be able to react quickly to contribute to the resolution of issues, work overtime to meet deadlines and to implement systems with minimal impact to the Business users.
- Prepare test evaluations and provide recommendation(s) for promotion of the code to the Production environment whilst ensuring the highest quality of service in the delivery of Global Fraud Technology processes.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a stable, professional environment, while ensuring department objectives are understood and met.
- Assist with the coordination of testing activities with other departments and interpret detailed information provided by technical support staff. Participate in forward-planning sessions and identify/resolve conflicts between initiatives.
- Contribute to the successful implementation of solutions for systems and projects, supporting highly complex business applications with complex integration needs across multiple technology disciplines.
- Provide input to the project team to incrementally improve the effectiveness and efficiency of IST.

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)
• Must have 5 or more years of experience working in Testing area. • 2-3 years hands-on working experience with Integrated Systems testing. • Strong English language communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact with Senior Management; complete presentations or provide status updates. • Ability to address all project related issues and conflicts within the testing cycle. • Working knowledge of JIRA, and Confluence. • Knowledge on the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project. • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. • Independent; responsible; accountable; results-driven & a keen eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, yet complicated environment is essential to this position. • Familiarity with automated testing tools like Selenium, cucumber etc. is an asset. • Familiarity in systems design (Agile, Waterfall) and a solid understanding of SDLC, QA and integration testing methodologies.
Any testing certification is an asset.
AUTHORITY/ DECISION MAKING/ DIRECTION RECEIVED: Day to day decisions regarding approaches to testing are handled independently by the incumbent.
Priorities must be constantly evaluated and reorganized daily to provide direction to a large test team. Tight project deadlines necessitate arriving at decisions/ recommendations within minutes. Problems encountered can have a major impact on the integrity of projects delivered to the Production environment. Corrective action must be based on an accurate risk analysis.
Recommendations for the resolution of issues with complex implications are presented to senior management.
