Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development of proposals, pre-qualifications and other RFQ-related documentation
- Act as the main point of contact for proposals and lead proposal development activities from beginning to end
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with clients and sub-consultants through the development of the proposals / pre-qualifications
- Evaluate and understand client requirements for incoming Request for Proposals and communicate the client’s expectations/requirements to the rest of the proposal team
- Assemble a proposal team with appropriate leaders, engineers, and other support personnel to successfully develop a winning proposal
- Develop a proposal responsibility matrix/schedule to ensure client requirements are fully satisfied and that the proposal team is on track with the submission
- Review all materials and ensure the team has met the client’s expectations and requirements
- Coordinate proposal information with any sub-consultants
- Coordinate document layout including graphics for submissions
- Schedule lessons learned sessions if required to attain higher success rates on future submissions and ensure the proposal closeout process is complete
- Manage and search for new sales opportunities
- Manage and track sales opportunities in CRM and other internal sales documents
- Improve CRM processes within the company
- Support the development of standard material for use in future proposals, with the intent of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposals over the long term
- Recommend business development/proposal-related improvements or additions to ensure continual growth and improvement
- Manage the production of marketing materials (presentations, brochures, resumes, project information sheets, etc.)
- Manage proposal coordinator(s) and their workload/career development
- Manage Morrison Hershfield now Stantec technical team to ensure that technical requirements are met
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Ability to understand complex topics (intellectual horsepower)
- A customer service-oriented, self-starter with the ability to set priorities while multi-tasking and self-manage project assignments from start to finish
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Exceptional writing and communication skills
- Desktop publishing capabilities with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop tools are an asset
Education and Experience
Post-secondary education and minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in business development and/or administrative roles
Previous work experience in a consulting engineering environment is preferred
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- $56,000 - $78,300 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
