Overview:
Pembina US Corporation’s Morris (Channahon), Illinois location is hiring Interns for various roles at the Aux Sable NGL Fractionation Facility. Applicants who will be attending a post-secondary institution in the Fall of 2025, in a relevant field of study, and are able to work the entire term are invited to apply.
Pembina US Corporations Aux Sable facility is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.

Operations – Play an essential role in ensuring efficient and safe day-to-day operations through monitoring, controlling, and troubleshooting processes.
Maintenance - Contribute to plant efficiency and reliability by ensuring the integrity of piping, instruments, electrical, rotating, and stationary equipment.
Engineering – Opportunities to ensure safe plant design, developing continuous improvements, and supporting critical infrastructure for Engineers in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls.
Business – Administration, Information Services, Safety, Environmental, Financial, Commercial, and Logistics are a few of our key supporting roles.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a related post-secondary Education program for the fall of 2025;
- Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills;
- Energetic, positive, and motivated;
- Possesses a strong work ethic and the ability to generate superior results under tight deadlines and competing priorities;
- Microsoft Excel and Word skills including familiarity with other MS applications is preferred;
- A safety mindset;
- A valid drivers license; and
- Must live within 60 miles of the Channahon facility.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate may be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check, Drug Screen (which includes testing for marijuana metabolites), and Fit for Duty Exam.
