Technology Platforms - Software Engineering - Full Stack Developer II, Brampton, ON
As a Developer II you will work alongside a team of self-motivated and well-respected team members building high-value analytical products and platforms. We are responsible for bringing modern enterprise systems to life and need your help to make it all happen. An excellent opportunity to grow your software engineering abilities while contributing to GCP solutions built the right way – clean code that is unit tested and pushed through complete CI/CD processes. We are looking for people that are passionate about what they do and want to progress their career as part of a forward-thinking team.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver high-quality features that have been thoroughly tested and meet acceptance criteria.
- Mentor junior engineers to help them deepen their capability, speed of delivery and quality of code.
- Collaborate with team leads and business stakeholders across Loblaw Technology & Analytics practice and provide an input on technical achievability of problem being solved.
- Contribute to our growing feature sets in our products built in TS/React/Node/Express/SQL
- Navigate complex problem spaces, bringing clarity and concise representations of the multitude of factors involved.
- Pair with expert developers to work through ambitious problems
What You Bring
- 5+ years' experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Experience with cloud environment (GCP, Azure, AWS) building web applications that are scalable and secure.
- Deep understanding of React, TypeScript, Node.js and other front-end frameworks, familiarity with SDLC concepts, CI/CD, Terraform, and microservice architect.
- Expertise in working with SQL and strong understanding of design - Sequence Diagrams, ERDs
- Experience with or exposure to Machine Learning/ Data Science is preferred.
- Rigor in testing field, knowing what tests should be written and in what quantity.
- Strong inter-personal skills including ability to work in a multi-functional environment.
