The Financial Reporting Analyst position is responsible to provide key financial insight to corporate head offices, senior management, and field stakeholders on internal and external financial reporting including balance sheet and P&L analysis within a multi-divisional GL structure. The Financial Reporting Analyst also contributes to and executes initiatives to improve the processes, procedures and tools utilized by the team. Success in this role will require results-driven behavior, solid organizational skills, intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, technical strength and the ability work both independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will provide key financial insights to senior management on certain P&L and Balance Sheet lines while maintaining integrity over financial data.
- Perform cash flow planning and forecasting.
- Execute on, initiatives that improve the processes, procedures and tools utilized by the Team.
- Record and analyze the impact on our annual operating plan of strategies initiated by the HR function (e.g. pension, benefits, WCB)
- Act as the technical professional for benefits accounting for PepsiCo Foods Canada
- Complete benefits and intercompany journal entries and analyze results
- Ensure timely reconciliation and presentation of all assigned Balance Sheet accounts.
- Reconciling items are kept to a minimum and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Complete benefits reporting for the annual tax package
- Project work
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Accounting designation or active pursuit of an accounting designation is required
- Proven technical accounting knowledge
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a focus on detail
- Successful execution of process improvement initiatives
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work effectively with field cross-functional teams, shared service partners and Senior Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- SAP experience is an asset
