The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) will screen patients in the neonatal intensive care unit for eligibility for (up to 5) research studies, coordinate with clinical team caring for the patient to understand suitability of timing to approach for consent, describe research studies and be able to answer questions in context of clinical situation of the patient, and keep track of patients who have and have not consented for research. They will liaise with medical team looking after patient during conduct of study and aid in conduct of research-related procedures - including but not limited to set-up of research equipment and will be responsible for data entry, basic analysis and oversight/management of research progress. Finally, the CRN will be responsible for keeping study related files, documents and supplies up-to-date and in stock, including maintenance of research ethics board approval and will work collaboratively with the research team, including other research coordinator(s). |
Job Summary: | Under direction of the research coordinator and/or principal investigator, the Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for collecting data for a pre-established research study from patients in various settings. |
