Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Process and validate payroll information
- Assist with the administration and processing of payroll activities
- Issue Records of Employment
- Compile and submit Garnishments
- Respond in a timely manner to customers on payroll matters
- Develop a knowledge of Union Agreements
- Other duties as required
The candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Education or experience in payroll (or a related field) is considered an asset
- Some supervisory or managerial experience with possible opportunity to grow within the organization
- A minimum of one year general office experience, preferably within a payroll environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS office products
- Must be highly motivated with an ability to manage a large volume of work effectively while adhering to strict deadlines
- Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi- task daily activities in a fast paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information
- Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work with a team
- Bilingual (English/French)
