What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities Oshawa branch is currently seeking an Associate Advisor to join a well-established advisory team as a trader.   Assist the Portfolio Manager with all investment execution.  Summarize investment articles, conference calls, newsletters and institutional research.

What will you do?

• Maintenance of discretionary models which includes equities, mutual funds, ETFs
• Develop and maintain the team’s rebalancing process
• Assist in portfolio operations and administration:
• Trade execution
• Debit balance clean up
• Discretionary program Dashboard
• Cash balances
• Foreign exchange
• Assist in trading on fixed income maturities, non PIM trading
• Assist Portfolio Manager with portfolio proposals and reviews

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Approval as Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC
• University degree – a finance or business degree is preferred
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

Nice-to-have

• 2 years or more of professional experience within investment industry
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Highly-developed client service skills
• CIM designation is an asset
