Analyst, Supply Chain Analytics
The Analyst, Supply Chain Analytics will provide data analytic and process improvement support for key initiatives within our Transport Planning & Operations. This exciting role reports into our Sr. Manager of Transportation Pricing & Analytics and will work collaboratively across many workstreams within Supply Chain.
What You’ll Do:
· Support key transportation planning projects, implementing initiatives leveraging existing data insights
· Identify cost and load planning efficiency opportunities for Transport Planning/Operations and present to operators in a concise and meaningful manner
· Work with Transport Operations, Distribution Operations and Vendors to optimize flow of goods through the network in a cost-efficient manner
· Undertake process improvement efforts, primarily with transportation planning, focused on improving KPI’s such as load utilization (%) and lane balancing and trip integration
· Responsible for creating enriched visual insights and powerful tools to improve processes and efficiencies across Supply Chain
· Quickly learn and interpret business processes while working cohesively with stake holders and to complete project deliverables on time
· Conduct in-depth descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis – presenting findings clearly and concisely to varying audiences across Supply Chain
· Where required, create documentation to support supply chain processes (SOPs, job aids, process tips, flow charts, etc.)
· Support the creation and execution of analytics required to support the development of long-term strategy to improve cost and identify revenue opportunities
· Develop methods of applying analytics and embedding them across the Transportation Planning practice
· Prepare and distribute daily and or weekly, period and quarterly reporting with a consolidated lens
· Prepare/support presentation materials for internal working team(s) & executive meetings
· Develop strong and effective working relationships with project partners
· Cultivate a positive work environment – a culture of positivity, curiosity, collaboration & transparency
· Work collaboratively with Transportation Planning/Operations to create and drive strategy
· Follow appropriate compliance, risk management & governance in the execution of all activities
What You’ll Need:
· Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, Engineering or Marketing
· 2-3 years’ experience in the retail/wholesale grocery business would be an asset
· Must be detail oriented and must be able to handle multiple priorities in a faced-paced environment
· Must be capable of working in a team-oriented environment
· Must have strong technical skills, especially with Excel, Power BI, SQL and Python
· Previous experience with SAP and Transport Management Systems (TMS) is an asset
· Previous retail or supply chain experience is an asset
· Strong interpersonal & communication skills
· Independent problem solving, critical thinking, and resourcefulness, with attention to detail
· Ability to optimally handle timelines to ensure delivery of project objectives
