Adecco is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant for a contract opportunity within a professional, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting multiple administrative functions while working collaboratively within a team.

  • Salary: $20–$25/hour

  • Location: Toronto, ON

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Job Type: Full-time | Temporary contract (3 months with possibility of extension)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, and format reports, presentations, letters, and spreadsheets

  • Manage both digital and physical filing systems, ensuring accurate document organization

  • Input, update, and maintain data within databases

  • Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries professionally

  • Direct calls and distribute incoming mail as required

  • Coordinate and confirm appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements

  • Track expenditures, reconcile accounts, and process invoices

  • Monitor and manage office supplies and inventory levels

  • Oversee the flow of information, track documents, and ensure deadlines are met

  • Provide administrative support to team members and assist with HR-related tasks such as recruitment support

  • Offer backup support to other staff and contribute to program delivery as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • High School Diploma plus a diploma or degree in Administration or a related field

  • Minimum of 2+ years of administrative experience, ideally within a government (federal, provincial, or municipal) environment

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to resolve discrepancies and make informed decisions

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
