Adecco is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant for a contract opportunity within a professional, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting multiple administrative functions while working collaboratively within a team.

Salary: $20–$25/hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary contract (3 months with possibility of extension)
Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, and format reports, presentations, letters, and spreadsheets
Manage both digital and physical filing systems, ensuring accurate document organization
Input, update, and maintain data within databases
Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries professionally
Direct calls and distribute incoming mail as required
Coordinate and confirm appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
Track expenditures, reconcile accounts, and process invoices
Monitor and manage office supplies and inventory levels
Oversee the flow of information, track documents, and ensure deadlines are met
Provide administrative support to team members and assist with HR-related tasks such as recruitment support
Offer backup support to other staff and contribute to program delivery as needed
Qualifications
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
High School Diploma plus a diploma or degree in Administration or a related field
Minimum of 2+ years of administrative experience, ideally within a government (federal, provincial, or municipal) environment
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to resolve discrepancies and make informed decisions
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
