Purpose
Drive sustained and profitable revenue growth through the planning, development and delivery of acquisition, engagement and client retention marketing programs in support of the Business Banking portfolio within the Canadian Bank. As a member of the Marketing Planning and Delivery practice, provides direction as a central point for the definition of marketing objectives, full-funnel marketing planning, and delivery of benefit-led campaigns that enable the Canadian Bank to achieve its strategic objectives.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Marketing Planning:
• In coordination with Business partners and Marketing stakeholders, defines marketing objectives to set and refine annual and quarterly marketing plans.
• Monitors consumer sentiment, market conditions, competitive activity, and short-term-demand opportunity on an ongoing basis to increase agility of planning processes and flexibility of budget deployment.
• Collaborates with Brand Management to set annual budgets and ensure execution of marketing efforts drive a relevant and differentiated brand, capitalizing on short-term demand, and building long term demand in coordination and at the same time.
• Collaborates with Global Wealth Management and Enterprise Marketing groups to plan and execute Bank-wide level action plans and marketing programs.
• Drives a client-centric team that acquires, analyzes, and leverages insights drawn from market research and data analysis to establish the strategic direction of benefit-led campaign briefs.
• Incorporates in plans and briefs a deep understanding of Bank-wide and business partner needs, ensuring full buy-in (agreement) and participation of multiple business, channel, and marketing partners in a highly matrixed environment.
Campaign Delivery leadership:
• Operating in a Squad structure, collaborates with key stakeholders to establish efficient workflows that ensure clarity of roles and accountability for team members, speed to market, and delivery of high-quality outputs.
• Responsible for providing insight on budget management and coordination with partners for budget revisions.
• Leads development and deployment of creative assets, agnostic of media channel and across all touchpoints, acting as squad’s main point of contact for creative and media agencies.
• Accountable for building a high-performance culture that is centered on effective collaboration with business partners and Marketing stakeholders to build performance-oriented campaign plan summaries, debriefs and enhancements.
• Champions proper usage of the Scotiabank brand in Canada, in full compliance with global brand guidelines and Scotiabank’s visual identity continuum.

• Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment. Uses a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.
Dimensions
• Approximately 4 FTEs
• Multi-million dollar operating budget
• Designing and implementing global customer-first strategies across all operating countries and ensuring that creative and media agency resources are best aligned to support global and divisional needs. Ensure best practices and global standards are implemented and followed in the global digital technologies and site deployments and develop and track global benchmarks and goals to measure performance.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field
• 8+ years minimum of experience in strategic marketing, marketing communications or marketing planning
• Expert knowledge of the development of fully integrated marketing plans, including paid media, owned and targeted channels
• Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills
• Ability to balance creativity with data-driven decision-making
• Adept in attracting and motivating talent
• Exposure to the Agile methodology
• Expertise in driving performance growth across multiple dimensions and KPIs
• Deep knowledge of the marketing tech stack
• Authentic, decisive, resilient, highly collaborative, and results-oriented
Working Conditions
• Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically.
