MPP-DS invites applications for the following teaching position in the 2025-26 session:

PUBPOL 713: Fundamentals of Housing Policy and Governance

This course provides an in-depth exploration of housing policy and governance, focusing on the frameworks, principles, and practices that shape housing systems in Canada’s market-based system. It examines the role of government, non-profit organizations, the private sector, and community stakeholders in addressing housing issues. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of housing policy development, implementation, and evaluation within various governance contexts.

The successful candidate will have a track record of research and teaching appointments at the rank commensurate with an Adjunct Professor, Associate Professor or Professor of Practice.

Applicants must have an area of specialization in Canadian housing policy with some experience as a practitioner in or with government.  The Faculty of Social Sciences and MPP-DS have significant strengths in the areas of research, teaching and mentorship. The successful applicant will teach at graduate level and have a demonstrated track record of excellent teaching.

The incumbent will be appointed at the appropriate rank with MPP-DS, located on the main university campus to begin September 2025.
