Home Hardware is looking for a Shift Supervisor on the Night Shift. Led by the Shift Manager, as Shift Supervisor you are responsible for managing workflow and providing front line supervisory and production support throughout all areas of the Distribution Centre.

• Ensure efficient, quality of material handling by preparation of daily schedule, shorts management, machine tasking, trouble shooting of equipment/conveyor concerns.
• Ensure Team Member competency in Material Handling and safe operation of equipment including team member observations, support cross training initiatives and equipment certification as needed.
• Maintain a high level of job satisfaction and safety awareness (following the guidelines of the Occupational Health and Safety Act), while maintaining a high level of morale and adapting a leadership style to the needs of Team Members.
• Provide support and coverage during Supervisor vacations or other leaves, including the need for overtime shifts when necessary.
• Foster safety culture by active participation and compliance with safety requirements, processes, and procedures.
• Effective completion of administrative tasks in support of smooth efficient operations. Includes: monitoring of outstanding tasks within all areas of production, ensuring SOP compliance, generating ASN’s etc.

We’re looking for:

• Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, HH1 Oracle, and Manhattan, with ability to learn and navigate new systems quickly. 
• Effective leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Possess analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and make sound decisions, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and react to changing situations in a busy environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport.
• Knowledge of Home Hardware’s systems and processes a definite asset.
