Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst on our E-commerce Finance & Strategy team.
In this role, you will lead and support in carrying out projects and initiatives to achieve organizational priorities. You will provide co-ordination and analytical support to drive growth and deliver on e-commerce projects and targets.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
- Lead and establish process improvements to help build and maintain the B2B business solutions for short term and long-term growth
- Help monitor the external environment, including macroeconomic trends, competitive activity, retail and customer trends to improve the accuracy and reliability of forecasts, targets and financial plans and long term strategic goals.
- Use data modelling to develop and analyze business strategies and provide recommendations based on business case.
- Support the business plans and other strategic analysis
- Develop and maintain key Strategy dashboards collaborating cross functionally with all areas of the business to prioritize projects.
- Shape and present materials for leadership leveraging data to communicate effectively
What you have to offer:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Significant experience in building business case, models and presentations
- Self-starter able to navigate in a fast-paced environment
- Project management exposure
- Experience in management / business finance or strategy/management consulting, an asset
