Senior Specialist, Supply Planning and Analytics
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain and Operations, this role is responsible for working with our vendors to ensure the right product is available, at the right time, in the right place. The scope of the role encompasses the following broad functions: forecasting, demand / supply planning, inventory management, market dynamics, analytical modeling, reporting and decision support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable in supply chain and industry best practices
- Conduct analytics to gain market intel and business insights
- Create, manage and maintain forecast database and rolling forecasts
- Manage demand & supply plans
- Monitor and manage inventory levels at warehouse(s) and distribution centres
- Work with vendor partners to ensure uninterrupted supply and on-time delivery.
- Track market access to support product launch
- Manage product life cycle and change management process
- Create and maintain master material data in ERP system
- Identify and implement strategies to drive efficiencies and mitigate risk throughout the supply chain.
- Identify risks and opportunities through analysis of external marketing data
- Perform periodic SKU rationalization analyses to ensure the optimal product mix and drive efficiency.
- Generate and issue key reports (both ad hoc and regular) on a timely basis.
- Monitor and maintain performance scorecards.
- Participate in IT projects, ERP system enhancement activities, etc.
- Participate on project teams as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a University degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science or similar.
- 3 - 5 years supply chain and analytical experience in the pharmaceutical or food industry with exposure to a broad array of analysis techniques
- Expert level with Excel, Power BI, VBA, Access, SQL (and other relational databases)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experienced in SAP
- Statistics background would be considered an asset
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Effective project management skills.
- Able to maintain strong working relationships with internal employees and with external partners.
- In addition to excellent analytic skills, the candidate must be able to interpret and present information (both written and verbal) in an engaging, meaningful way.
