The Senior Manager, Digital Acquisition is an analytical leader, responsible for building marketing analytics and growth insights capabilities to further enhance the digital acquisition journey for credit and deposit products. This role will partner closely with our Marketing/Product teams and Agency/Platform partners to recommend and action strategic changes that will increase application targeting and conversion to drive greater efficiency.
The Senior Manager will drive ongoing performance optimizations and accurate forecasting around the digital acquisition strategy (Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Organic, Owned and Affiliates), as well as developing key reporting across set cadences and campaign moments to distill meaningful insights into actionable next steps. In addition, this role will oversee performance insights of the public site to advance an SEO-optimized experience across the funnel, that is compelling and frictionless. Reporting into the Director, Digital Acquisition & Analytics, the Senior Manager will lead a highly motivated team of performance marketers and analysts, while closely collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the bank.
What You'll Do
- Acquisition Strategy & Planning (50%): Provide analytics and strategic support to digital marketing and product teams that will drive quality customer acquisition and help define tactics for the digital acquisition strategy
- Partner with key stakeholders to plan performance marketing activity across our digital and owned channels, including recommended offers and budget planning
- Create measurement plans and performance tests to evaluate the incremental benefit of marketing initiatives. Key KPI’s include Cost Per Application, Cost Per Actives, ROI
- Partner with our Digital Media counterparts and Product Acquisition teams on building forecasting models to ensure we’re tracking towards targets and optimize as we learn
- Customer Insights & Analytics (30%): Distil key customer or product-specific acquisition insights into actionable next steps to drive better or more efficient business goals
- Develop a roadmap for marketing data, tracking solutions and analytics needs that will help drive strategic acquisition initiatives
- Lead the development of dashboards (Tableau or Google Data Studio) to maintain the cadence of weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports
- Create compelling business narratives to keep key stakeholders informed of marketing results and provide recommendations of how to evolve and improve programs
- Website (20%): Develop and implement a strategy for the public site to create a personalized and relevant journey that effectively moves customers through the funnel and drives quality conversions
- Own website analytics and provide insights to deliver a full-funnel experience that compels movement through the funnel to application
- Identify key customer segments and work collaboratively in partnership with digital, product and credit risk teams to build personalized on-site strategies
- Partner with the Digital Platforms team to drive a roadmap that is prioritized against strategic priorities, with progress assessed and re-calibrated as required
What You Bring
- 7-10 years overall experience with a post-secondary education in Marketing, Business or Mathematics (experience in Financial Services or Product Management a bonus)
- 5+ years experience in management consulting, customer analytics, marketing intelligence with strong business acumen
- 3-5 years as a power user/administrator for Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics (360 or GA4) to create effective media reporting/insights
- 3-5 years of experience implementing digital analytics tracking solutions for web and/or mobile (experience with eCommerce and ad technology applications a bonus)
- In-depth knowledge of key media channels and platforms, including programmatic platforms (DV360), paid social (Facebook Ads Manager), paid search (Google Ads), email (salesforce marketing cloud) and affiliates
- 2+ years working with media teams on pixel implementation/management and tag management systems (Adobe Launch, Adobe DTM, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
- 2+ years SEO proficiency and website strategy/user journey development
- Preferred qualification: Experience developing strategies that are relevant and personalized by customer segment
- Strong time management, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Clear communicator and adept at storytelling
- Comfortable learning quickly, and building actionable plans in a collaborative environment
- Experience leading, building and developing high performing teams
- Analytical skills – Able to use SQL and Excel to pull and analyze data; experience with data visualization tools is a plus
