Canvas
Canvas Programs is a thriving Ontario-based charity that provides empathy-based education on consent and 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion. Over the past decade, Canvas has run workshops for over 45,000 people in schools, community spaces and workplaces. Canvas is moving the needle towards a society free from homophobia, transphobia, and gender-based and sexual violence.
Canvas’ programs include:
(1) 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion Trainings - workshops aiming to make spaces safer and more inclusive for 2SLGBTQ+ people. Participants learn about 2SLGBTQ+ identities, intersectionality, allyship, and ways to challenge homophobia and transphobia.
(2) Consent Trainings – workshops that offer trauma-informed consent education, with a goal of mitigating dating violence and supporting survivors of violence.
(3) Community Arts Programs – multi-week arts programming for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
(4) Workplace Inclusion Trainings – Canvas' social enterprise fostering cultures of belonging in the workplace. We offer highly customized training programs and consulting services on 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion, unconscious bias, and consent cultures for workplaces, enhancing feelings of belonging for all employees.
