Fluor Canada is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Technician to join our Talent Acquisition team. Fluor strategically sources top domestic and international talent in support of small, medium and mega projects across Canada and in our Calgary and Vancouver office locations within our business lines focusing on Energy Solutions and Urban Solutions.

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead and receiving day-to-day direction from the Talent Acquisition Specialists, the Human Resources Technician is the primary pillar in supporting the Talent Acquisition team.

Day to day Talent Acquisition Technician activities include:
• Posting open positions on Fluor’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as requested by Talent Acquisition Specialists.
• Conducting reference checks for requesting departments and projects.
• Creating contract offers of employment through our internal system for audit by requesting Talent Acquisition Specialists and amending as required.
• Calculating continuous service dates for returning employees.
• Sending and compiling collected new hire documentation from applicant tracking system (ATS) and Onboarding systems for keying into Fluor’s system of record SAP.
• Coordinating Time off with Pay (TOWP) seeds and Lump Sum relocation payments for Payroll processing.
• Completing the Statistics Canada survey on a quarterly basis.
• Completing Cost per hire metrics as requested.
• Coordinating interviews as requested.
• Facilitating new hire orientation on a rotational basis.
Campus activities include:
• Assisting in creating annual campus calendar of events.
• Arranging Career Fairs and Information sessions with Fluor GUSP (Global University Sponsorship Program) Schools.
• Coordinating interviews for co-op students and new grads.
• Posting open positions on Fluor's applicant tracking system and at each GUSP school.
• Reviewing and forwarding qualified candidates to hiring manager for review.
• Creating and coordinating interview packages for the Talent Acquisition Specialists and department technical representative.
• Creating contract offers of employment for new grads.
• Processing new grad relocation expenses.
• Reviewing new grad expense forms to tax protect their lump sum and then send to finance.
• Sending regret letters to candidates who are not selected.
• Completing expenses for campus activities (Career fairs, info sessions, catering, interview room and fees).
• Other duties as assigned.
