Here’s what you can expect from the process:
- Your application will be kept on file for one year.
- You may be contacted for an introduction meeting with our Advisor, Temporary Recruitment at any time during that year. While we value every application, not all applicants will be contacted for an introduction meeting or offered employment.
- Due to provisions in our collective agreements with Dalhousie employee groups, Talent Pathways is unable to offer student or academic (teaching or research) positions.
- Temporary positions are based on the university’s operational needs and typically last 3 – 6 months. On occasion, they may last for shorter or longer periods of time, usually no longer than one year.
- Temporary employees work within Dalhousie’s regular business hours of 8:30 am – 4:30 pm unless otherwise specified by the hiring manager prior to employment.
- All temporary roles require short-notice availability for in-person or hybrid work at one of our campuses.
- Salary ranges vary depending on the position type and will be shared with you before any interview. You can expect an hourly rate between $20.69 - $29 for administrative and finance positions or $32.24 - $34.19 for technical positions. Full time hours at Dalhousie are 32.5 or 35 hours per week.
