Overview

 

The successful candidate will lead the planning, product development and lifecycle of some of our new and/or existing cloud based Modern Work and Collaboration solutions.  He or she will invest time with our sales teams and customers to better understand customer challenges and needs.  The role will lead the development of a business opportunity assessment and business case to drive a new product and/or enhance an existing product to help target revenue growth and customer experience improvement opportunities.  He or She will also work with various stakeholder partners in a project team to develop and launch the product(s) into market

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the planning, strategy and business case for new high tech collaboration and modern work products and solutions for wireline and wireless users
  • Business owner lead for the development and launch of one or two of these products into market
  • Partner with Project manager, Operations, Network technology and IT teams in the new product introduction process
  • Responsible for revenue management and product lifecycle and price management of these product(s)
  • Understand product cost drivers; identify and execute on opportunities to manage / reduce costs
  • Invest time in the channel and conduct ongoing customer, market, and  competitive intelligence reviews  to better understand customer challenges and needs
  • Monitor industry developments while working with key industry Cloud Modern Work solution partners to bring best-in-class solutions to market
  • Remaining current with evolving solutions and technologies for Cloud Modern Work solutions especially in the Microsoft Modern Work categories.   
  • Track and manage revenue and subscriber performance of these products including visibility to sales funnel and partnering with sales and marketing teams
  • Relationship development and effective communications with stakeholder partner teams for product growth success

Critical Qualifications

 

  • Strategic thinker, verbally articulate, with strong problem solving and presentation skills
  • Experience and expertise in Collaboration, M365, Microsoft Teams, VoIP markets and  solutions are assets
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills - ability to listen and work well in teams, build consensus while delivering against a common objective. 
  • Strong analytical and executive presentation skills (including advanced PPT & Excel capabilities)
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Financial / Forecasting abilities. Business Case/Planning experience is a strong asset
  • Ability to work independently, navigate a complex matrix organization
  • Organized, agile, able to work with ambiguity and under tight deadlines
  • Taking ownership of the task at hand and is driven to deliver results
  • Stakeholder relationship development and management (leading others)
  • Learning mindset

Additional Requirements

 

  • 5 years+ experience in Product Management, Product Development, Consulting, Business Analyst, and/or Technology/IT Management.
  • Previous experience in Managed IT Services,  Information Technology, Collaboration, Microsoft 365,  Telecom, and Contact Center/AI technologies, are all strong assets (IT system integrator, Managed services provider, Telecom, OEM, or Tech Firm)
  • Preferred Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, Business, or Commerce
  • Any relevant training or certifications in Cloud, Contact Center, Business Intelligence/Artificial Intelligence, and Collaboration technologies are assets (not mandatory)
