Adecco is actively seeking a Site Superintendent for a full-time role based in Calgary, AB, offering a competitive salary of $160,000–$190,000 CAD per year. Our client is a reputable developer specializing in mid- to high-rise multi-family concrete residential projects.

In this role, you'll oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and scheduling targets are met. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll manage trades, materials, and timelines while maintaining strong relationships with consultants, inspectors, and city officials. This is a great opportunity to lead a major project that will shape Calgary’s residential landscape.

  • Pay Rate: $160k-$190k/year.

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:  

  • Manage and coordinate on-site workforce, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth operations and compliance with drawings and specifications.

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met.

  • Monitor all construction activities to ensure work is performed to the highest quality standards — right the first time.

  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures as per company policies and Alberta legislation to protect workers and the public.

  • Maintain detailed daily site reports, including trade manpower, equipment usage, site conditions, photographs, as-builts, timesheets, and purchase orders.

  • Liaise effectively with trade partners, consultants, inspectors, and city officials to resolve issues and keep the project moving forward.

  • Assist in reviewing and clarifying trade contractor scopes, costs, and schedules during the preconstruction phase.

  • Foster a respectful and proactive jobsite culture, promoting open communication and teamwork among all project participants.

Requirements:  

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

  • Minimum Grade 12 education.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing mid- or high-rise concrete multi-family residential projects from start to finish.

  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Building and Safety Codes, as well as workplace health and safety practices.

  • Proficiency with standard computer applications (email, MS Word) and construction document management tools.

  • Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors effectively.

  • Trade or Journeyman certification.

  • Engineering or construction-related degree.

  • Familiarity with structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Experience with budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.

  • Strong communicator who leads with respect and integrity.

  • Solution-focused and proactive in managing jobsite challenges.

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality and safety.
