Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Branch Performance & Resiliency Group within the Business, Operations Support & Resiliency Team for Wealth Management Technology Solutions is responsible for application performance and resiliency for the Wealth Management Business. This is accomplished by helping WMTS teams set up monitoring for their applications and by supporting teams through the incident, problem and change management process. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and operating key Application Performance Monitoring Tools used in WMTS. You will support and provide consultation to teams on the effective use of these tools to reduce time to restore services during an incident, to perform quality root cause analysis when troubleshooting problems and for identifying issues associated with changes deployed to production. Ultimately, this contributes and facilitates the minimizing of risk and impact to the IT environment.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  •          Manage and support monitoring tools used by the Application Teams within WMTS (Wealth Management Technology Solutions)

  •          Work with necessary stakeholders to mature processes and ensure ITSM processes are effective and understood.

  •          Ensure that the ITSM process aligns with business needs and goals

  •          Identify and communicate problems/issues through effective status reporting to management

  •          Coach and educate user community on ITSM content quality

  •          Manage and update any Service Management records related to changes, not limited to, but including incidents, problems, requests, outages, knowledge, asset and configuration (including attributes and relations) as required.

  •          Enforce compliance of the Enterprise Change Management Policy and Procedures

  •          Lead Wealth Management Change Review Board Meetings to review and approve IT changes

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

 Must have:

  •          Experience with Application Performance Monitoring Tools such as Dynatrace and Aternity/Riverbed

  •          Knowledge of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) concepts

  •          Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience evaluating and approving changes.

  •          Experience with ITSM Tools such as Service Now.

  •          A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.

  •          Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  •          Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.

  •          Excellent communication skills: ability to deal with key partners across the organization: Business, Operations, Application Development and Maintenance Teams, Infrastructure Teams

Nice-to-have:

  •          Wealth Management Knowledge

  •          Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly traded corporation

  •          Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers

  •          Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
