Adecco is currently hiring a full-time reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Attendant to join our client’s logistics team in Newmarket, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role requires you to be organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently or in a team environment.
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Location: Newmarket, ON
Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm

Responsibilities:
Unload and load courier drivers and customer vehicles.
Offload incoming materials from customer or supplier trucks using forklifts and/or overhead cranes.
Prepare and complete documentation for the shipment of goods.
Verify counts against customer orders, transfers, and packing lists; promptly notify the Manager of any inconsistencies.
Contact carrier representatives to make shipping/delivery arrangements and provide instructions.
Receive, sort, and track items for processing.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory control practices.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
Maintain a neat and organized work area while following all company policies and procedures.
Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing goods.
Lift up to 50–60 lbs safely as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral English required).
Customer-focused attitude and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures, standards, and regulations.
Working knowledge of receiving, quality control, and shipping practices.
SAP experience preferred.
Forklift skills are an asset but not required.
Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable to shifting priorities
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
