The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Business Process Management to join our Operating Model team (CTO) in Toronto or Sudbury. This role has a global scope, working with both corporate and operational teams to design, implement, and continuously improve our VBM Operating Model, Management Systems, and Process Management Office.
This role is a permanent hybrid position, working a Monday – Friday Schedule.
As a Senior Specialist you will:
- Design and define the roadmap for our VBM operating Model frameworks to ensure efficient and effective operations across the organization.
- Develop the concept, methodology and implementation criteria for the Op. Model
- Build a strategy and approach for implementing the Operating Model
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Define process requirements to achieve organizational objectives
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams engaging multiple departments to adopt and steward the Operating Model
- Foster a culture of excellence, providing training and communication plans based on change management principles
- Document key processes into VBM’s Normative Governance to ensure sustainability and a process-led approach
- Work closely with senior leadership to secure endorsement and buy in
- Partner with business process owners to test applicability and drive adoption
About You
Education:
- Undergraduate Degree
- Certifications in Project Management, Change Management, Lean Methodology, Systems Design and related fields are considered an asset
Experience:
- Strong experience in business process management, operating models and governance frameworks
- Experience with mining operations and in navigating change in Operational environment
- Ability to lead complex projects, influence stakeholders and drive organizational change
- Excellent communication and ability to gain buy-in across all levels of the organization.
- Respected and trusted within the organization; brings credibility and reputation.
- High sense of urgency and strong teamwork orientation
- Strategic thinker with a builder mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
