Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Project Manager to join our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). Reporting to the Senior Manager, EPMO, you will follow our internal project management framework, acting as the “quarterback” for each project delivery phase. 
 
You will partner with key members of the organization to form a delivery team responsible for defining and aligning on project scope, identifying work packages and schedules, monitoring/reporting on progress and collaborating to solve problems, with a focus on some of the Supply Chain projects in the portfolio.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead the project team through the phases of our project delivery framework with accountability for standard key deliverables/services including scope definition, project plan and schedule, budget tracking, progress reporting and risk/issue management.
  • Identify the capacity and skills needed to deliver projects, manage resource utilization, and resolve/escalate resource constraints impacting delivery.
  • Accountable for proactive and transparent dialogue and resolution of risks and issues.
  • Use your exceptional communication skills to ensure clear and timely dialogue tailored to your audience, to drive clarity and alignment with key stakeholders and the project team.
  • Build and lead an effective cross-functional team, and foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders, project team and delivery partners (e.g., vendors).
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
What we’re looking for:
  • Project Management certification and proven experience with waterfall, iterative waterfall, and agile project execution would be an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience with 7 to 10 years of experience demonstrating project management competencies.
  • Familiarity with Hardware / Lumber and Building Materials (LBM) retail and distribution processes. Retail experience an asset.
  • Supply Chain and Warehouse Management System (WMS) project experience is required.
  • Ability to see the big picture and how your project(s) align with strategic imperatives and interact with other initiatives in the portfolio and organization.
  • Positive energy and drive, with a proven ability to learn new things and understand the business as a whole in order to tailor your approach to the needs of each project.
  • Self-motivated to independently influence towards best practices, and maneuver through areas of ambiguity.
  • Excellent understanding and experience applying project management methodology including planning, estimating, executing, and controlling.
  • Results oriented with a focus on quality.
