Looking for a new opportunity? We are looking for a Senior Project Manager on a temporary basis to join our team!
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage multiple project teams including Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, TTC staff, and consultants.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects—from inception through planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
- Ensure projects align with strategic goals and are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Prepare and manage capital budgets, ensuring financial accountability and contract compliance.
- Develop and implement effective project management processes and procedures.
- Provide leadership in recruiting, training, and retaining project team members.
- Promote professional relationships and communication among internal teams, consultants, and external agencies.
- Approve selection and performance reviews of professional staff and consultants.
- Ensure adherence to TTC policies, standards, and safety protocols.
- Act as a key liaison with senior TTC staff, elected officials, government representatives, and third-party stakeholders.
- Attend public and internal meetings to present and discuss project details.
- Manage contract administration including changes, payments, documentation, and reporting.
- Oversee commissioning and safety certification plans for major projects.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance programs and project documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends and technological developments.
- Substitute for the Project Director as required.

What Qualifications Do You Bring
- University degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or an equivalent designation in Ontario is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience leading multi-year and multi-disciplinary projects in transit and/or large-scale infrastructure
- PMP Certification is preferred.
- Hands- on experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from design to completion.
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and project management principles.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, inspection processes, and relevant legislation (e.g., Construction Lien Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act).
- Familiarity with business administration, budgeting, and human resources policies.
- Proven ability to develop and manage strategic project goals, budgets, and schedules.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information and develop actionable strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and resolving complex issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and respond to urgent operational issues, including outside of normal working hours.
- Experience liaising with internal stakeholders and senior representatives from government, municipalities, and private industry.
- Ability to present and communicate complex strategies in a clear and motivating manner.
- Willingness to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Regular site visits required; must be comfortable working in both office and construction site environments.
