Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The incumbent will be responsible for Client Integration and Fund Events in Fund Accounting and Derivative. In order to be successful, the incumbent must have a thorough understanding of Fund Accounting processes and knowledge of Derivative processing. The outcome will be smooth and timely client integration and fund events.

What will you do?

  • Review fund’s offering documents and Fund Administration Agreements and highlight exceptions and document fund set up in Fund Accounting and Derivatives
  • Prepare Fund Overview Summary outlining legal entity, fund structure, investment objectives and other key information
  • Participate in meetings with Client Onboarding in regards to Fund Events
  • Review Client Set up forms and Fund Accounting & Derivative system setup forms
  • Determine exceptions in Fund Accounting & Derivative systems setup forms and review exceptions identified
  • Review information, data and files received from clients and fund managers against RBC Operating Model and IT requirements and determine non-standard processes
  • Review fund set up on Fund Accounting and Derivatives to the setup forms and update Pcontrol checks
  • Determine all deliverables, document and communicate to Fund Accounting & Derivative Teams
  • Work with client to obtain fee accruals in the fund and communicate to Fund Accounting & Derivatives Team
  • Work with RBC I&TS Teams on data, reports and other information reported to clients and external parties
  • Work with Fund Accounting & Derivatives team on the date of the Fund Event to ensure smooth transition.
  • Work with client and client onboarding team on fund mergers by reviewing information circulars
  • Work with Fund Accounting and Derivatives teams by proving information on fund wind down, merger and fund restructure

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 3+ years of  experience in Fund Accounting
  • Understanding of  Derivative Products and processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player and collaboration skills
  • Proven organizational and time management skills

Nice to have

  • Client Service
  • Industry related courses (CSC, or CFA)
  • Project management skills
