Adecco is actively seeking a Senior Accountant on behalf of a respected regulatory organization based in Toronto, ON. This full-time, remote-first role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of core financial functions including AP, AR, payroll, and month-end reporting. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll ensure accurate, timely financial operations while contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives.

- Pay Rate: $80k-$90k/year.
- Location: Toronto, ON (Remote-first; In-office 6–10 times/year)
- Job type: Permanent | Full-time
- Full ownership of AP process and inbox management
- Review and process AP invoices and expense claims per finance policies
- Work closely with approvers and follow up to ensure timely payment cycles
- Contribute to AP and credit card reconciliations during month-end close
- Reconcile daily credit card transactions across Moneris and Thentia
- Process payments in Sage Intacct, ensuring monthly alignment with Alinity
- Handle registration refunds in coordination with Registration Services
- Maintain and update employee records for payroll and benefits purposes
- Process biweekly/monthly payroll, including bonuses, adjustments, and vacation pay
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and reconcile payroll-related reports
- Support monthly close with reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Assist in annual budget development and financial reporting activities
- Generate GL reports and maintain the chart of accounts
- Engage in continuous improvement and ad hoc finance projects
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Emburse, Alinity, and Moneris preferred
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills required
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience (AP, AR, payroll, GL, financial reporting)
- Strong understanding of month-end processes, accruals, and reconciliations
- Effective communicator with stakeholder management skills
- Experience in regulatory or non-profit sectors is an asset
