Adecco is actively seeking a Scheduler to join our client’s team and to oversee and coordinate all production runs, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow across departments. This role is vital for keeping production on schedule, managing lead times, and facilitating communication between Customer Service, Sales, Shipping, and vendors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and helps the plant operate at peak efficiency.
  • Pay Rate: $65k-$70k/year.
  • Location: St. Thomas, ON
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am or 7:00am-3:00pm
  • Job type: Permanent | Full-time
Responsibilities:  
  • Set up and manage order line-ups on all presses and balance workloads
  • Organize shipments with Customer Service and Shipping, ensuring timely delivery
  • Schedule “run-withs,” “run-togethers,” and adjust for rush orders
  • Coordinate order specifications and movement across plant locations
  • Act as liaison for scheduling communications and manage incoming materials
  • Administer internal and supplier NCRs; schedule re-runs and track docket changes
  • Control transfer processes and maintain accurate records, including monthly die purges
  • Office-based with regular production floor visits; frequent standing, bending, crouching
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • CSA-approved safety footwear and hearing protection required
Requirements:  
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of corrugated manufacturing machinery is an asset
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
