Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Management Specialist for a fully remote non-fixed term contract with our Crown Corporation Client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Reliability Level Security Clearance or be eligible for it.

 

The Senior Project Management Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

·      Oversee the project throughout all phases by ensuring resources are adequately utilized and the project is completed and fully operational within previously agreed upon timelines, and performance parameters

·      Develop project plans and prioritize work to achieve project objectives, working with project resources and ensuring collaboration with other teams, as required

·      Responsible for the delivery of defined scope and work plans to meet project objectives within defined quality and time whilst managing the associated risks, issues and project interdependencies

·      Prepare and present proposals, plans, charts, status reports and risk logs to assist in analyzing, displaying and socializing progress, challenges, issues and problems by using a variety of project management tools

·      Oversee project risks, issues, and interdependencies while delivering defined scope and work plans within defined quality and timeframes

·      Collaborate with external suppliers, stakeholders, and project team members to clearly identify project challenges and issues, and work jointly to develop and propose effective solutions

·      Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders and business partners to ensure understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns

·      Effectively handle and communicate unplanned project activities, such as re-planning and recalibration

·      Work independently with limited support / involvement from senior management.

·      Provide project management expertise for all project activities by working with stakeholders, project team members and groups across the Bank using proven project management best practices and methodologies

·      Provide regular updates on progress and value delivery to senior management and/or the sponsor/client

·      Ensure all project deliverables are completed including all related documentations and processes

 

The Senior Project Management Specialist should have the following qualifications and skills:

·      University Degree or College Diploma in a related field (information technology, project management, business analysis, etc.) or equivalent work experience

·      A minimum of ten (10) years of recent demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Management Specialist in overseeing large projects (more than 40 project resources, over multiple years) in a complex environment

·      A minimum of five (5) years of experience using Agile or hybrid delivery approaches (Agile / Waterfall) to deliver strategic projects

·      Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences

·      Strong demonstrated business acumen, including the ability to identify and communicate value and translate business needs into project objectives

·      Demonstrated experience leading multiple initiatives concurrently and effectively managing interdependencies

·      Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives

·      Demonstrated / recent experience delivering large projects / initiatives in the financial sector (banks, financial institutions, market participants, etc.)

·      Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications
