In close collaboration with the Project Owner and EPCM, the Site Human Resources Advisor is the key HR contact for the Project team who will oversee and perform daily human resource functions at the KSM Project site. This role will support the KSM Integrated Team in accordance with legal requirements and project objectives. The Site Human Resources Advisor will also provide leadership and operational support to the KSM project management, employees and contractors, and maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders.

This position will report to the KSM Construction Director, with functional accountability to the Project Owner’s HR Business Partner (Seabridge Gold) and Fluor’s HR Business Partner.

The Project is located 65km northwest of Stewart, in the mineral-rich area, commonly referred to as the Golden Triangle of BC. Seabridge Gold acquired a 100% stake in KSM Project in 2001 and since then has spent $440 million in exploration, engineering, and environmental work to move the KSM Project toward development.

This is a rotational position for a 16 and 12 schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES:

• Manage and coordinate daily HR functions for the KSM project, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to in compliance with current legislation and aligned with corporate standards, and policies and procedures.
• Support project site managers and serve as a change agent to implement best practices.
• Provide support to administrate the Fitness for Work Policy and Program
• Provide guidance, coaching and support to site leadership in dealing with employee relations issues
• Conduct workplace investigations with support of Project Owner’s HR and site safety
• Partner closely with project leaders on expectations to ensure clear roles and responsibilities in all functions
• Participate in implementing and monitoring strategies to improve gaps in training, recruitment, and engagement of employees
• Participate in the recruiting process and onboarding of employees, contractors and consultant ensuring a positive experience
• Develop people communication processes and works closely with project leaders to ensure effective execution.
• Liaise with project leaders, Seabridge Gold HR, Fluor HR and municipal, provincial & federal governmental officials, as required
• Participate and deliver site Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and programs
• Ensure compliance with the BC Employment Standards Act, BC Human Rights Code and all other applicable Employment Laws
• Other duties as assigned
