Bridging North America (BNA), a partnership of Fluor, ACS Infrastructure Canada and Aecon Group Inc., is seeking candidates for the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.
BNA was selected to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the CAD$5.7 billion (approximate US$4.4 billion) Gordie Howe International Bridge project for Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA).
When completed, the bridge will be the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America. The project includes a bridge and border crossing spanning the Detroit River and connecting Detroit, Michigan, U.S., and Windsor, Ontario, Canada, by linking Interstate 75 and Interstate 96 in Michigan with the new extension of Highway 401 (Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway) in Ontario. The scope also includes building new, state-of-the-art ports of entry on both the U.S. and Canadian sides of the Detroit River as well as improvements to existing infrastructure in both Michigan and Ontario.
The purpose of this position is to plan, direct, coordinate, manage, and execute projects, programs and strategic initiatives. The position may be responsible for either a Division or Strategic Business Unit, or single or multiple large Human Resources (HR) discipline(s), or a single large project or multiple significant projects at the corporate level. If this role is within an operations center may oversee a group of multi-disciplines or regions within HR. This position has the responsibility to administer, develop, and direct HR policies, programs, and practices. This may require assisting in creating, managing, monitoring, and adapting departmental budgets including budgetary accountability for area of responsibility. On behalf of the company, may have primary responsibility for a specific HR discipline or sub-discipline.
• Act as an HR business partner or manage team of functional professionals to oversee development, implementation and administration of HR services, programs, procedures, policies, and guidelines
• Oversee that the development, implementation, and administration of HR procedures, policies, and guidelines are designed to enhance the ability to attract, develop, and retain qualified employees
• Partner with executive management and effectively interface with operational management to ensure that HR services, systems, processes and programs are properly designed and executed and the workforce needs of the business and company are met
• Collaborate with management to address attraction, employee development and retention
• Oversight for Human Resource (HR) program implementation, out of cycle negotiations, and on-going workforce management issues
• Provide leadership in organizational development, design and capability including change implementation with a focus on: leadership, employee and team engagement and development
• Other duties as assigned
