About the role

We are looking for a Principal of End User Services Technology to oversee our end user computing strategy and solutions. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with endpoint security, Office 365, Cloud, MS Co-pilot, desktop virtualization, workstation technologies, Dex Tools, and end user AI technology. This role is vital for shaping an effective and flexible end user ecosystem focused on connectivity, workspace, collaboration, mobility, and productivity.

The principal will serve as a thought leader, providing mentorship to teams and taking responsibility for technology health, quality, security, performance, and reliability. They will develop and execute long-term technical strategies and roadmaps that support the technology vision, transformation goals, and broader business objectives.

Additionally, the principal must ensure that systems architecture and design adhere to high-quality standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements, and are consistent with the organization's principles and standards.

The Principal End User computing technology will report directly to the Vice President IT Services.

What you'll do here:

Build an integrated vision

Leads the implementation of enterprise End User computing solutions, covering workstation virtualization, non-structured data retention, endpoint security, Microsoft Co-pilot, Dex technology, and ITSM. Collaborate with security, end vulnerability mitigation and compliance teams to enforce strong data controls, policies, and risk management.

Technical leadership

Provide technical leadership, clear visions, and blueprints aligned with Technology principles. Ensure best engineering practices and enhance user experience through innovation. Oversee multiple projects and guide engineering teams and senior staff.

Strategic influence

Serve as a trusted advisor to executives, business leaders, and technology stakeholders by offering guidance on strategies and implementation of end-user technologies. Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and leading practices. Promote innovative thinking, an engineering approach, and strong problem-solving skills to address complex challenges and develop forward-looking strategies in transformation, security, streamlining processes, standardization, and the use of AI. Partner with IT engineering, cloud, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of solution.

Drive tool evaluations and proof-of-concepts (POCs) ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Improve end user experience through emerging technology and innovation

Work with technical specialists and architects to enhance user experience, security, and operations using AI, automation, and Dex tools.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree or any combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in end user computing, including at least 7+ years in senior/lead or principal-level responsibilities (strategy, roadmaps, and architecture).
  • In-depth knowledge of tools and technologies for end users such as Citrix, Cloud computing (Azure, GCP, AWS), Service Now, O365 including Copilot and artificial intelligence.
  • Expert in securing and managing unstructured data, with strong experience in architecture, governance, and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
