Post-doctoral position in physical function and aging (Canada)

An enthusiastic and self-motivated post-doctoral fellow is sought to study physical function and mobility in older Canadians. The successful candidate should have a PhD in rehabilitation science, epidemiology, biostatistics or a closely related field. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with members of the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA; https://www.clsa-elcv.ca/) and the McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA; http://mira.mcmaster.ca/). The start date is February 2025.
Postdoctoral Fellowship
One postdoctoral position for one year is available in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University, Canada.
Terms
The fellowship is a one-year full-time position with an annual salary of $50,000, plus benefits. The position is available in February 2025.
Requirements
- The fellowship is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada at the time of application.
- Completion of a PhD in the last 5 years is required along with excellent research experience.
- Experience using statistical analysis software such as R, SAS, Stata, or SPSS and manuscript writing.
- Experience and understanding of physical mobility and function will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in multivariate and longitudinal analysis will be considered an advantage.
- Applicants currently enrolled in a doctoral program must provide proof of eligibility for completion of all aspects of their work prior to starting the position.
