Adecco is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Specialist to support a major construction project in St. Thomas, ON. The MEP Specialist will oversee on-site MEP activities, ensure alignment with design specifications, resolve design conflicts, and support all phases of the project lifecycle—from planning to closeout. This is a full-time, high-impact role requiring strong technical expertise and hands-on project oversight.

- Job type: 12-month contract | Full-time
- Oversee all on-site plumbing, mechanical, and electrical activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
- Review construction drawings, documentation, and BIM models to identify and resolve conflicts between architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Coordinate and validate technical drawings and documentation to maintain workflow efficiency and support project schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to track timelines, manage RFIs, and review/approve shop drawings.
- Supervise mechanical and electrical installations on-site to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines.
- Monitor material and labour costs associated with MEP components and provide accurate quality and progress reports.
- Support resource planning, procurement, and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Provide technical guidance during system testing and commissioning activities.
- Lead project closeout, ensuring proper documentation, inspections, compliance records, and handover packages.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive project reports throughout all phases of construction.
- Perform additional duties as required to support successful project execution.
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related construction discipline; equivalent technical training and certifications may be considered.
- P.Eng. or P.E. designation preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing complex projects within clean room, dry room, automotive, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of project management principles: scope development, specification creation, tendering, contractor oversight, quality assurance, and project closeout.
- Experience working on large, multi-disciplinary project teams and participating actively in project meetings.
- Experience with Design-Build projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
