Are you a Planner with a passion for optimization? Daily maintenance work requires detailed planning to optimize quality, efficiency and costs. The work must be evaluated in depth in order to identify the different steps, the materials, the equipment and the labour that will be required for an optimal intervention, with the top priority being worker health and safety.Collaborating closely with the other planners, the Operations and Maintenance coordinators, the supervisors of the trades concerned, and the scheduler, you will plan all work related to industrial mechanics. You will develop ranges of standard tasks that will be archived and reused for repetitive work.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in planning and/or estimating or related experience in the industrial or petrochemical sector.
Fluent in French, with functional written and spoken English – please submit your resume in French
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Good technical knowledge of requirements for materials and parts, and electromechanics (an asset)
Knowledge of the construction trades and of safety in work planning
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and integrated maintenance software (ideally SAP).
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Participate in the prioritization and updating of the list of maintenance work throughout the planning process and during its completion.
Visit workplaces to identify specific hazards associated with the work and develop safe execution plans to reduce them.
Interact with the Operations, Engineering and Maintenance departments particularly for preventive maintenance, in order to make appropriate corrections and repair methods to the problems identified in the work lists.
Evaluate tasks and establish the order of work steps in an efficient manner to maximize the use of the workforce based on its versatility and determine the tasks of each person.
Obtain and adapt drawings, manuals, and procedures necessary to complete the work.
Reserve and purchase the materials needed to carry out the work
Identify our service provider needs and undertake steps to ensure their availability and qualifications to carry out the mandates entrusted to them
Schedule routine maintenance, projects or work related to shutdowns, as needed.
Location and other Key Details:
You will work out of our Montréal office, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
