The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing the overall framework of digital learning experiences and using learning data to inform continuous improvement. This role ensures course content is aligned with set standards, established learning objectives, company goals and values, and the learner needs. This also ensures that courses are designed and developed to be an effective and engaging experience for employees.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Pursue a deep understanding of learner roles to ensure that learning solutions meet the needs of learners
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Develop or advise on the overall framework, design, strategy of courses, ensuring alignment with learning needs and service level agreements; collaborates with Business HR to establish objectives and goals of learning programs
  • Design learning experience artifacts (experience maps, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, storyboards, scripts) to be shared for content partner review/feedback and executive approval. Develop as per the content design framework, using content creation/editing tools like Articulate (RISE, StoryLine), Vyond (for videos) and Adobe Creative Cloud (as required).
  • Assist with Learning needs assessment and alignment of recommended solution design and development with business learning goals and objectives
  • Provide ongoing support to the Senior Manager with reporting on learning project updates and risks (if any)
  • Monitor market leading trends and learning the best practices to propose enhancements to the learner’s experience
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and
    decisions

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Previous banking experience is a strong asset
  • Good understanding and experience in using Articulate (RISE & SL), Vyond and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and a variety of design and development principles andmethodologies
  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business, HR or Learning
  • Understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Problem solver and active listening skill
