BCIT's *Mining Department* is currently seeking *two regular full-time Faculty members* to deliver courses in the Mineral Exploration and Mining Technology diploma program and the Mining and Mineral Resources Engineering degree program. 

 *The first vacancy:* The department is seeking a *Mining Engineer* with knowledge and experience in *rock mechanics, soil mechanics, and mine design.*
*The second vacancy:* The department is seeking a *Mining Engineer* with knowledge and experience in *project management, feasibility studies, cost studies, mine closure, and mine reclamation.*

The successful candidates will be committed to prepare students for an exciting career in the mining industry.  Success of the BCIT mining diploma and degree programs is achieved through the faculty’s excellence in instruction, close ties with industry, and mentoring and motivating of the students to succeed.  Graduates of both the diploma and degree programs find employment in a wide range of fields in both the public and private sectors.
