The Mining department in the School of Construction and the Environment at BCIT is seeking regular, full-time Faculty members to deliver courses in the Mineral Exploration and Mining Technology diploma program and the Mining and Mineral Resources Engineering degree program.
The department is seeking mining engineers with knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Surface mine operations, surface mine design
- Mine project evaluation – pre-feasibility studies
- Computer mine design
- Soil and rock mechanics
The successful candidates will be committed to prepare students for an exciting career in the mining industry. Success of the BCIT mining diploma and degree programs is achieved through the faculty’s excellence in instruction, close ties with industry, and mentoring and motivating of the students to succeed. Graduates of both the diploma and degree programs find employment in a wide range of fields in both the public and private sectors.
