We’d love to hear from you!In this role, you will ensure that environmental field monitoring is completed safely and accurately in a cost effective and timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
Three years of civil or environmental technologist experience in the field within the oil sands
Civil or Environmental Technologist diploma or related diploma
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work productively with minimal supervision
Strong analytical skills and the ability to relay technical information
Willing and able to work outdoors
Responsibilities:
Conduct internal and compliance groundwater monitoring programs
Conduct hydrometrics monitoring programs including snow surveys, stream gauging and surface water sampling
Assist with internal and compliance aquatics monitoring
Assist with soil monitoring during salvage activities
Assist with contractor management requirements and onboarding
Manage equipment and consumables inventory
Assist Senior Technologist with month-end tasks
Location & other key details:
You will work out of our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a 5 days on/4 days off rotation (12-hour shifts)
This is not a camp-based role
