The Faculty of Arts includes 19 departments and 21 programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Faculty is also home to two Canada Research Chairs: the first in Lifespan Cognition, and the second in South Asian Literary and Cultural Studies. Many of our programs offer opportunities for experiential education through practicums, co-ops, international field-schools and exchanges, service learning, community engagement, and research collaborations. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Entertainment Arts program within the Faculty of Arts at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) seeks to appoint part-time (at least 50%) and full-time faculty to one-year positions, and to establish a list of faculty qualified to teach in the program and who will be eligible for future course contracts on a per-semester basis. Applications are invited from individuals with expertise related to the fields of study listed below. Courses may be offered during the day or evening, online or in-person at KPU’s Richmond campus, and faculty are expected to be available to teach in either delivery mode. Non-Regular, Type 2 positions also come with the expectation of program-related and/or institutional service.
- Diploma in Advanced 3D Animation and 3D Modelling
- Diploma in Advanced VFX (Virtual Production)
- Diploma in Advanced Game Development
- Certificate in Foundations in Electronic Arts

QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to individuals with significant professional, industry-related experience acquired within the last three years, who have previously taught courses in a field of study listed above, and who have a record of teaching excellence at the post-secondary level.
