Mohawk College is seeking a part-time faculty member to support the development and delivery of a Sustainability Analytics micro credential as part of a sustainability-focused business micro credential stack. This initiative is set to be delivered in partnership with ECO Canada.
We believe that sustainability and responsible business practices are critical to the future of industry and education. The successful candidate will have experience in sustainability data analysis, business analytics, and data-driven decision-making, with a strong understanding of sustainability metrics, carbon accounting, and data visualization. This role includes course creation and content development, with a focus on ensuring online development and online instruction in an asynchronous learning environment are incorporated into design.
What you’ll be doing:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and structure the online Sustainability Analytics micro credential (40 hours in length), ensuring alignment with industry needs and best practices.
- Create engaging, interactive asynchronous course materials, including video lectures, case studies, assessments, and real-world applications.
- Incorporate data analysis tools and frameworks relevant to sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting, and supply chain analytics.
- Work with ECO Canada and Mohawk College stakeholders to align course content with industry standards and employer needs.
- Use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Ensure content meets LMS (MyCanvas) standards and integrates with existing micro credentials.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- A Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Relevant industry experience in sustainability analytics, carbon accounting, or ESG reporting.
- Experience in data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python, or Excel).
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI).
- Previous teaching or training experience in higher education or professional settings.
- Experience developing and delivering online course content.
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to staying current with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively inter-culturally with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
