Adecco is currently seeking a Contractor Operator based in Lloydminster, AB. This relief operator will support a rotating schedule—likely 5 days on and 2 days off, though this may change according to business needs. The successful candidate will support multiple operational sites across Alberta and Saskatchewan, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of oil and gas production facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor pumps, compressors, and other production equipment to ensure safe and efficient functionality

  • Perform routine maintenance, identify issues, and report equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team

  • Follow all corporate and regulatory safety procedures while conducting regular safety inspections and participating in safety meetings

  • Record, track, and interpret production data to support process optimization and improved operational efficiency

  • Support environmental compliance initiatives and contribute to reducing environmental impact across all sites

  • Respond to equipment failures, environmental incidents, and other emergencies, and participate in emergency response drills

  • Collaborate with field operators, engineers, and management to maintain smooth operations and communicate effectively

  • Work various rotating schedules—likely 5 days on and 2 days off—with flexibility to adjust based on business needs

  • Support multiple field locations including Lloydminster, Cold Lake, Bonnyville, Vermilion, Wainwright, Hardisty, and Saskatchewan locations  

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Technical training or certification in oil and gas operations preferred

  • 5–10 years of experience in a similar field operator role within the oil and gas industry

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Valid safety certifications such as H2S Alive, First Aid, and WHMIS

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Capable of lifting heavy equipment

  • Comfortable working rotating shift schedules

  • Must have own truck for travel
